This large riflescope is waterproof and fogproof, don't know if it shockproof and/or other proof. People said it the best at the price, also it multi-coated optics. For me, that isn't going to work!

No way and I going to spend that extra money on something that wouldn't make that much of a difference!

Don't get me wrong, if it was my job to get the absolute best shot, then it would be worth it but since I am a casual type shooter, saving the money and buying a 870 Shotgun and this scope is a much wiser move!

I purchased this scope based on the reviews and the price. A fantastic choice and a very good decision.

Works perfectly on my Remington 700 .308 Sniper Platform! Magnification really works well!

Even at full magnification the optics quality is good!

Many reviews made it sound like you wouldn't be able to see what you were looking at, completely not true!

Sure, you zoom in all the way, the image quality is going to suffer but not to the point where it is going to kill the shot.

Not sure if anyone said this or not, but this scope doesn't come with rings so you will need to purchase them if you don't have extra sitting around.

For me, this was a very wise choice!

Nikon ProStaff 550 Laser Rangefinder (Green)

Using Nikon ProStaff 550 Laser Rangefinder you won't guessing distance any more (of course!). I hunt in areas where we have thick woods, and open farm lands. During my bow hunt I ranged a doe at 22 yards, perfect shot. Later on that day I ranged my hunting partner standing in a corn field 357 yards on the button. Give this rangefinder a try you won't be dissapointed.

BARSKA 1x30 IR M-16 Electro Sight Riflescope

BARSKA 1x30 IR M-16 Electro Sight Riflescope can do 1x magnification, with 30mm objective lens and fully coated optics is more than enough to used for tactical riflescope.

List Price: $267.90
Price: $109.99 & this item ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping. Details

Deal Price: You Save: $157.91 (59%)

The riflescope offers such features as a seven-position reticle illumination adjustment, 1/2-inch-click adjustable windage and elevation adjustments, and a removable magnification objective lens. I bought this, got it home and immediately noticed how great the quality and workman ship it had. Very nice solid sight. So I put in on the AR, and that weekend I went shooting with a couple of buddies at one of their properties. I shot my AR that previous weekend using wolf ammo, and just didn't have the time to clean it all week. So I was shooting wolf ammo again out of it, and casing were expanding in the chamber. The second time it happened, I performed S.P.O.R.T.S., but the casing still wouldn't come out. I put the rifle on safe and removed the magazine. I went to my car to get a cleaning rod to tap the casing out, and to my horror when I walked back around the house to were everyone was shooting, two of my friends (who think they know everything about guns, but don't know a damn thing), are pulling back the charging handle and beating the buttstock on a picnic table WITH MY BRAND NEW SIGHT STILL MOUNTED!! (That's their remedy. beating the rifle on a wooden table. like I said, they're idiots) I rushed over and ripped my rifle from the two morons and cleared it out using the cleaning rod. I thought for sure that the next couple of rounds were not going to be zero'd and that the new sight was F'd. Well to my total and complete surprise, it was still dead on the money! I was totally shocked and happy that my bonehead friends didn't destroy my brand new sight. So on that note, it is definitely a quality cheap sight, and I'd buy another one.

Bushnell 4-12 x 42mm Laser Rangefinder Riflescope

Bushnell riflescope ang rangefinder with fully multi-coated optic will give you an accurate view for hunters. Shaw

Just got back from my buddies place after sighting in my eliminator scope and I have to say I am very pleased. I bought this scope after leaving my laser range finding on the ground somewhere in Wyoming last year. Needle in a haystack to find eh.

We were able to use the scope on a shooting range out to 450 yards. All I can say is that it is a very good scope which does all that it says it will. In particular, the range finder was great. It easily ranged a metal silloute out at 448 yards and a tree at 476 yards. As a test on a non-reflective target, we hung a coyote pelt on all the targets and again it ranged out to 448 yards on fur.

One small complaint about set up. We had a little trouble getting the set up buttons to operate, had to press it a couple of times before we could get into set up mode. The four buttons used are close together in a circular pattern and we assumed that you had to press "on the edge" of the circle as not to hit two buttons at once. Well that is not the case. Once we pressed firmly on the middle of the appropriate button everything worked well.

We set up the scope for our approriate load (.270, 140 grain) and started sighting. Interestingly, we used a simlar Leupold 4x12 scope on my buddies rifle to see targets so we had a good comparison of the optics between the two. I have to admit that the optics were better on the Leupold series IV scope but not by much. The Burris optics were very good to excellent. You do lose vision in the bottom half of the reticle due to the ballistics dots, but that is not much problem. Eye relieve was better that the Leupold scope.

Once sighted at 100 and then 200 yards (easy enough to do), we tested it at 284, 350, 400 and 448 yards. Using the remote ranging button we could range a target without moving our hands from a shooting position. This buttom is mounted with a velcro cinch strap and a piece of double stick tape. You must use the tape once you figure out a good position or else the remote will wander. Not sure how well this set up will work in the field.

On every shot, the bullet went where the dot was placed. Just what you want.

All and all a very good to excellent scope. I will be using it in early October in wyoming where a 400 yard shot is commonplace. I feel that I will have a little more confidence placing an ethical shot at that range now. I report back on its durability.

In summary:

Pro's:
1. Excellent range finder
2. Very good to excellent optics
3. Good balistics computation.
4. Excellent eye relief
5. Good price for all that you get. Much better than any similar scope and range finder bought separately and you never will leave the range finder on the range.

Cons:
1. Scope is heavy but has a low profile.
2. Limited field testing thus far.
